Alex Broadstock is a Taiwanese American director whose work explores memory, place, and human connection through immersive visuals and handcrafted story.
Based in New York, Alex develops original projects and commercial work for brands including Adobe, REI, United Airlines, and Timberland.
His debut film First Light, a portrait of life in the world's northernmost town, won Best Short Documentary at the New Hampshire Film Festival and Best Overall Film at the Wasatch Mountain Film Festival, earning thirteen nominations internationally.
His second film, Threads of Anzal, an exploration of Morocco's 3,000-year-old rug-making tradition, won Best Short Documentary at the New York Indie Shorts Awards and premiered at Big Sky Documentary Film Festival.
