High Sierras : Part 1

In July I wen't on the most beautiful and inspiring trip of my life. Words can't describe the range of feelings both physical and emotional that I felt on this trip. From the sheer amazement of the John Muir Trail, to the long and exhausting night hikes to camp, we experienced it all. There is something very refreshing about spending two weeks in the woods disconnected from the craziness of daily life.  There is a lot more time to think about what is important, what matters, what you want to do with your life, and how you want to impact others. My goal for this trip was to document and take photos, but I came out knowing more about myself than I ever could have imagined. John Muir played a large role in our trip; we read passages from his book and took inspiration from his writing on nature and specifically about High Sierras.  He said, "In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks". I think everyone in our group would agree with him.

Here is the first half of our trip.
